Mounting Bolster Modification

The original mounting arrangement is shown in the top half of the above drawing, with a special 1.4mm screw holding together a sandwich of a Delrin shoulder washer, the nickel silver mounting bolster and a flat Delrin washer.

The modification involves replacing the flat Delrin washer on the bottom with another Delrin shoulder washer placed upside down. This gives the nickel silver mounting bolster more room to move and ths allows the BullAnt a degree of tilt in all axis.

To gain access to the screw, it may be necessary to remove the motor. Unscrew the two screws holding the motor in position and withdraw it gently out of the back of the gearbox housing. When unscrewing the bolster mounting screw, take care as it is only lightly tapped into the plastic pickup bolster underneath. Do not overtighten the screw when replacing.

Anyone wishing to make this modification can obtain a spare shoulder washer simply by emailing us at: sales@hollywoodfoundry.com and providing a mailing address. The washer and return mail will be paid by us.
